Purchased by the My Asho Market team from the Printex factory in Ghana, this interesting cotton print features striking colour palettes in maroons and yellows, black and white.

Egyptian Sunset - Image via National Geographic

The print brings to our minds the ancient civilisation of Northeastern Africa. To us, the black and white patterns represent the hieroglyphic images common to the era. The maroons and yellows tell us of a time of enormous wealth, pyramids at sunset and grand crypts used to preserve huge mounds of treasure. We see tomb robberies under the desert sky with blinking yellow stars and finally, we see an amazing moving lock pattern for which the Egyptians were very famous.

Maybe we're a little over-imaginative. What ideas do you get from the Crypt Print?
