Growing up, Toju watched her mother create beautiful designs and was inspired by the art of "bringing fabric to life". She devoured fashion magazines such as Harpers and Queens, Tatler and Vogue and was strongly intrigued by the creative art of high fashion. Her first designs were produced when she was just 9 years old.
